Unlike sealants or paint-on waterproof coatings, epoxy stone flooring uses a natural stone aggregate suspended in a high-performance epoxy resin. The finished surface is porous on top — which means water doesn’t puddle — but the epoxy beneath binds and seals everything to the concrete.
➡️ Result: Water drains through the stone layer, but it can’t penetrate the bonded epoxy below. This allows moisture to escape naturally while keeping the substrate dry and protected.
